CHANDIGARH : A seven day life skill testing program was organized in GGDSD College, Sector 32, Chandigarh, by the Aesthesia club of Psychology Department that commenced on 23rd Sep, 2022. Under the able guidance of our worthy Principal Dr. Ajay Sharma, this activity was coordinated by Dr. Tarundeep and Dr. Minakshi Rana. A total of 287 students participated in this program. This program included self-report tests which were administered by the 2nd year students of Psychology Department on the registered students of the college.
The students were tested on variables like Personality, Self-esteem, Self-efficacy, Well-being and anger. These tests were administered to provide a greater insight to the students and to help them discover a path leading to a more satisfying and effective life.
After testing, individual reports were also shared with the registered students so that they could strengthen their life skills. This activity also helped the Psychology students in improving their testing skills, scoring and analysis of results and finally they learned how to prepare psychological reports. The final year students of the department also actively participated in the counseling process in the end of the testing programme which was held on 30th September, 2022.
It was an enriching experience for all the students as it provided them with a practical experience of psychological testing, report writing and counseling.
