Citizen Awareness Group organized Investors Awareness Program

Chandigarh,: An Investor Awareness Program was organized at the Department of Commerce, Chandigarh University here today. The program was organized by Citizen Awareness Group in association with Securities Market Trainer.

Surinder Verma, Chairman, Citizen Awareness Group, gave detailed information about creating wealth from stock markets through latest technological advancements. He talked about how mobile apps have become popular in business and emphasized on the challenges of technology adoption and how to overcome them. He also brought forth the risks that arise from technology, such as data theft, glitches, etc., which lead to losses, but the right use of technology can bring long-term benefits.

Tejinder Singh, Securities Market Trainer emphasized on how financial literacy can help us achieve our future goals. He talked about the many investment options available to us, but most of us invested in bank fixed deposits. There are other options as well, including ETFs, small cases and gold mutual funds, he added.

Head of Department of Commerce, Dr. Nitin Pathak emphasized on the importance of financial literacy. India is home to the world's largest youth population, and increased financial literacy among the youth is very conducive to the country's financial well-being.

The program ended with the vote of thanks by Dr. Nitin Pathak, HOD-Commerce.
