MOHALI: Positivity is essential in the media so that clarity and commitment in journalism can be brought. If there is positivity in attitude and work behaviour, then no work is possible. Nothing is impossible if you believe and present the truth, said Punjab Public relations and Urban Development Minister Aman Arora at the Brahma kumaris organisation at Sukh Shanti Bhawan, Mohali.
Appreciating this initiative of Brahma Kumaris, Aman Arora said that the organisation is performing a fine job of giving the right direction to the society. Zee TV Punjab Haryana Himachal Pradesh editor and guest of honour Deepak Dhiman stressed that the media should not only highlight the problem but also try to present solutions.
Director General and Senior Journalist, IIMC New Delhi (Ministry of Information and Broadcasting), Professor Dr. Sanjay Dwivedi, while delivering the presidential speech said when all the doors are closed then one door remains open. This is the door of journalism towards which people come to with great hope.
Journalism is successful when its purpose is in public interest and purity and people believe in it. Resident Editor of Dainik Jagran (Punjab and Chandigarh) Amit Sharma said media is a mirror of society. Earlier media used to raise problems but it is also trying to find solutions.
National media spokesperson of Brahma Kumaris organisation BK Sushant said that there is no need to curse the darkness. Instead a candle should be lit. BK Karamchand, Regional Coordinator of the Brahma Kumari organisation, conducted the programme and said that one such conference will be held at Ropar tomorrow.
