TORONTO — A 35-year-old Toronto man faces multiple charges following a human trafficking investigation involving two alleged victims, Toronto police said in a release issued Wednesday.

The Toronto Police Service’s Human Trafficking Unit began its investigation in September 2026. Police allege Justin Ferguson used deception, coercion and control to traffic a 28-year-old victim over a six-year period, keeping the money the victim earned. Ferguson was arrested on October 13, 2026, and charged with seven offences, including trafficking in persons, receiving material benefits from sexual services and trafficking, procuring, firearms offences and uttering threats of death or bodily harm. He was scheduled to appear at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre on October 14.

Further charges involving a second alleged victim

Investigators further allege Ferguson trafficked a second 28-year-old victim over an eleven-year period. Police say he first met and sexually exploited this victim when the victim was under 18. Police allege he used deception, coercion and control, and kept the money the second victim earned. On October 27, Ferguson was arrested and charged with 15 additional offences. These include trafficking in a person under 18, receiving material benefits from sexual services provided by a person under 18, benefiting financially or materially from trafficking a person under 18, and procuring a person under 18. The additional charges also include adult human trafficking and related offences, firearms offences, uttering threats, assault and sexual exploitation of a young person. He was scheduled to appear at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre on October 28. The allegations have not been proven in court.
