Bharat Vikas Parishad, Chandigarh celebrated "An Evening in the Name of Senior Women"

Chandigarh: Bharat Vikas Parishad, Chandigarh Province organized a colorful program "An Evening in the Name of Senior Women" on the occasion of "International Women's Day". On this occasion, 5 distinguished senior citizen women were also honored. Chandigarh Municipal Corporation Mayor Anoop Gupta was the chief guest on the occasion. While Mrs. Priya Tandon graced the event as a special guest.

Ajay Dutta, National Chairman Trust and Property, Bharat Vikas Parishad, KL Chauhan - Region Service Head, Rakesh Sehgal - State President, HC Kumar - State Treasurer, Geeta Tandon - State Coordinator, TR Wadhwa and Nirmal Aggarwal - Vice President, PK Sharma - State Organization Minister, Meena Rana - State Mahila Pramukh, Jaspinder Suri - State Sanskar Pramukh, other provincial officers, Zone Mahila Pramukhs, women heads of all branches, around 300 women and 50 men were present.

Sumita Kohli, Lady Head, East 1 Branch, gave all the gifts to the participants of the cultural program on her behalf. She also said that 'today women are hoisting their flag in every field. Children and women artistes from BVP enthralled the audience with entertaining programs through various art forms. Out of which dance, poems, drama and skits were prominent.'

Former Mayor Asha Jaswal said that today women have made their mark in education, sports, politics and many other fields. Society cannot forget this contribution. While doing social service, 05 women have been honored for their excellent and commendable services in different fields.
