78 Years Old Man Taken by Police in Brampton Case of Abuse Involving Child: CN Canada Asks Community for Honor and Care

Karandeep/Brampton, ON – Police from the Peel Special Victims Unit have taken a 78-year-old man from Brampton into jail. He is tied to a case of abuse that involves a child.

The police say the acts happened in early May 2025 at Giffen Family Park. This park is close to Bramalea Road and Larkspur Road in Brampton. It is said that on three days, the man went to and harmed a girl who is under 12 years old.

On May 8, Harmohinder Singh was taken and charged with these crimes:

* Sexual Assault – Girl Under 17 (3 counts)
* Sexual Interference (3 counts)

Singh was held and came for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
