Two Brampton Men Arrested in $300,000 LCBO Theft Case

Peel Regional Police have arrested two Brampton residents in connection with a major theft investigation involving LCBO locations across the region.

Karandeep/Brampton: Following a series of high-value alcohol thefts totaling approximately $300,000, investigators from the 21 Division Community Intervention Response Team have arrested 25-year-old Anuj Kumar and 29-year-old Simarpreet Singh.

Police believe Kumar was the primary suspect behind the thefts, which targeted multiple Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO) stores throughout the Region of Peel. Singh is also suspected of being involved in these coordinated thefts.

Both individuals now face a total of 35 charges related to theft, possession of property obtained by crime, and four drug-related offences. In addition, police executed four outstanding arrest warrants during the investigation.

Kumar and Singh were held for bail hearings. Police confirm the investigation is ongoing, and further arrests and charges may follow.
