Department of Cardiology PGIMER performed for the first time two cases of Orbital Atherectomy Procedure

The Department of Cardiology, Advanced Cardiac Centre, PGIMER, Chandigarh performed for the first time two cases of orbital atherectomy procedure on 14/02/2023. These two procedures are the first to be performed in the region and among the first in India. Professor and Head Dr. Yash Paul Sharma and his team performed two cases of using this procedure in patients having heavily calcified coronary arteries.

Focus will be on promoting exports, millet and employment generation in budget: Manohar Lal

Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that in the state’s general budget for the year 2023-2024, focus will be placed to promote exports, products made from millet and employment opportunities. “By promoting exports, foreign exchange will come into the country and the economy of the state will be strengthened,” he said. The Chief Minister was addressing the pre-budget consultation meeting with the stakeholders related to industry, manufacturing and service sectors at PWD Rest House, Gurugram on Monday.
